American bakeries range from wholesale operations that supply restaurants to neighborhood shops that sell bread, pastries, cookies and cakes over the counter, and many of them also pour coffee. Bagel shops boil and bake on site and sell out of favorite flavors by late morning; donut shops open before dawn and are often family-run; patisseries and cake studios take custom orders for weddings and birthdays and usually need one to two weeks' notice. Ice cream parlors, gelato shops and frozen yogurt bars are seasonal in the northern states and year-round in the South and on the West Coast. Prices are posted per item, by the dozen or by the pound, and most shops now take cards and mobile payment.
Hours are published for 7 days a week. On most of those days it is open 8 am–2 pm. Tampa is in Florida, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Tampa follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

The food and drinks were absolutely delicious! The place is adorable, clean, and has a welcoming atmosphere. The customer service was excellent from start to finish. The French gentleman working there was especially friendly and made our experience even more enjoyable. His warm personality and outstanding service truly stood out. Thank you!

The staff were not very friendly. We were disappointed by the selection. They had no fresh berries for crêpes and what they had in the case for pastries was very limited. We ordered the ham and cheese crêpe and the cheese used was not a good combination of flavors and the crepe was not sweet.. it appeared that most of the desserts in the case were not homemade. The menu was very overpriced. We were charged for a tapwater.. In response to the owner - your employee would not give us iced tap water and required we purchase bottled water. She stated that your cafe would not make money otherwise. My husband went next door to get free water. She was not very friendly or courteous. Lastly, I forgot to mention that my husband looked at the beignets in your case-and one had mold! I think that you should treat your customers better than your response below especially when customers are not happy with what you offer.

Food is excellent and the staff and service are incredible as well. Comfortable indoor and outdoor seating and nice views down the way of water features and UT. This is absolutely worth a visit if you’re downtown or in the area.

Let me begin by saying that Charles is among the loveliest entrepreneurs we have ever encountered, and one who operates not to maximize profit, but human experience. He is the antithesis of the modern entrepreneur. Where others under-deliver and overcharge, Charles over-delivers and undercharges. Côté's prices represent a fraction of what one would expect to pay at comparable bakeries, particularly authentically French ones, despite premium imported ingredients steadily eroding margins. Yet Charles' philosophy remains remarkably simple: uncompromising quality paired with fairness and accessibility. Were Côté operating in Paris, I am certain its prices would be lower still. Modest as they seem by American standards, they are only as "high" as they are because of labour, overhead, and import costs. When you speak to an owner who knows no greed, you know the establishment is about quality and humanity. And the baker? Quiet, introverted, reserved; but with hands that craft magic. I am a worshipper of flans done right and a scathing critic of flans done wrong. These are unequivocally my favourite flans I have ever had in any continent, country or bakery. If I could have only one pas

All the other times I've been to the area it's only been for work and I'm out of there. This was the first time I was able to actually "go around town " so to speak. I have a thing where when I travel and it's available, I get macaroons. This is the first time I've been in an actual French bakery. Other times I get macaroons, it's from a place where it's an infusion and they happen to have macaroons or from a grocery store. This cafe is adorable, beautifully decorated, and busy, even at the slow time I went. I was also pleasantly surprised by how nice our server was to us. When I'm in cities I get in a mode of being ready for anything, even bad attitudes and I haven't been in the area long enough to have a feel for the area. And I've had enough times going to cafés and different stores to encounter stoic or indifferent servers, I'm kind of used to it by now. I even got used to the self-serve type of cafes where you just pay and pick up your own stuff when it is ready. However, our server brought our desserts to us at our table which I appreciated. He was engaging and informative, frequently asking for feedback on our desserts. I also feel like he gave me the best macaroons I've e

We had a great experience at Cote France French Café this morning. We tried the Pain au chocolat (chocolate brioche) and two espresso coffees, everything was fresh and delicious, just what you’d expect from a quality French café. The place itself is beautiful and very well stocked, with a modern French café vibe that really stands out. We also had the chance to meet the owner, he was incredibly kind and welcoming, and even took the time to chat with us, which made the experience even more enjoyable. We’re staying in Tampa for a couple of days, and we’ll definitely be coming back tomorrow for breakfast. Prices are very reasonable for the quality, absolutely worth it!

This is seriously the best French Cafe in Tampa. The sandwich melted in my mouth. I was feeling like I was in Paris when I was eating my meal. Their French Roast is very good. Perfect Flavor. Great service from the staff. They were very attentative. This is the Best Coffee shop in Downtown Tampa. I will definitely be back again.

I travel to France monthly and have a good level of French so I always search for French cafes wherever I travel. I was so elated to find this cafe where not only was the food absolutely delicious and authentic but several of the staff are Francophone and I was able to speak the language. If I lived in Tampa, I’d be there every week. I enjoyed a cappuccino with pain au chocolat straight from the oven (so rare!) and a quiche lorraine. Ça a été très délicieux! I really look forward to returning anytime that I’m back in Tampa.
